Cool New format

Psychlone Rules

I hope I don't get in trouble for this but go to the link. Db drags sounds like a new formate might be released. Done SQ and loved it. Done the Db thing it was great too! This sorta combines my loves into a single simple format. Will it fly and if so here in Canada? I may bring the old girl out for another season if so.

And for giggles vote if you desire to play if this formate is oficialy introduced.

Could be an interesting competition format. Wayne's no dummy - when he created dBDrag it took off because it was more exciting to watch than boring SQ comps where everything was quiet. Then over time people have made their SPL cars quiet as well to help increase their scores and guess what - events are boring and spectators stop showing up.

Now he has a format where it's guaranteed to be loud outside the car. Like it or not, that will attract people. Makes me glad I included the 8 coaxials in the back seat area of the hearse

yeah..... sounds pretty interesting!

Just too bad SQ is not judged along with the SPL. for example: a system that could sounds good at 136db with no distortion... like the good ol' days.

I went looking an think/ presume that the SQ (RTA) and the SPL are measured at the same time. Kinda like the bass race format but diferent.Tunning your sustem for this formate now brings more chalange back into it.

I love both the SQ and SPL formats of comps. But as Duke saide SQ is very dull for the on looker. SPL's cool but hey one note wonders get dull after a time too. Sorry guys my opinion and I've been resonably competative in both worlds. I think that 136 db with great RTA will be dificult to get but not imposible.

Hey Prolifik why is it not interesting for you? Or is this just being you. A new chalange may be what we all need. Do you not listen to music between burps? I do and it being loud bumppy and clear are important. And hey your on the top now why not a new chalange that may bring in newer competitors.

If you havent already guessed I'm in favour of this format. Takes the human element out of the SQ judging (sorry) and keeps that simple. Keeps the fast #'s from SPL and it looks like fun and entertaining for all.

to answer your question honestly, i dont really listen to music at all. not between burps or any other times. i just find music annoying, especially loud music.

new challanges are good, this is just not my cup of tea.

Fair enough. Yet there must be a way to keep it fun for new comers and the "regular" folk out there. My SPL system is only in the X when were at a show. Other wise it in the garage. This format is more real world. Yet there's been many times I don't listen to any thing but my the road and what it has to offer. I now understand a little were your coming from.
