Hi there guys, I have been lurking for the past couple of weeks and I decided to finally register. Looks like a fantastic board. I know sLammeds15 from some truck boards. I am currently in the process of completely rebuilding/repainting/modding my truck (first gen S10)and I figure that now is as good a time as any to re-do my stereo. I built my last stereo with a really strict budget and I am going to go with a little bit better stuff and do a better install this time. I am in the process of brownbreading the interior, and I need to figure out what I am going to do pretty soon so I can wire it while the interior is stripped.

SO...on to the questions.

1.I can no longer get deals through "my guy" in town, and I am looking for a place with great deals. Are there any places in Canada that offer good deals on audio products (maybe online)? (I know of GCA, and I will be buying some ED subs in a few months from them)

2.FOR NOW.. I will be keeping my Alpine type-R and one of my rockford amps to power it with. But right now, I need to address my front stage. I think I will go with the DEI vipers on soundomain (or maybe the CDT cl-61s if thezeb ever gets them in stock again) but I need to find a 2-channel amp to power these guys. Does anyone have any recommendations for a great 2-channel (at least 90 Watts rms per channel for the DEIs)amp that I can either purchase locally, online (Canada), or through a dealer who is a member on here? I AM on a budget...but I am mainly looking for a hot deal. (maybe 200$)

I am either going to stick with Rockford Fosgate (just to keep it the same) or Step up to a different brand (I LOVE avionixx...but dont know where to buy them). I am probably going to just buy the 351s rockford off of soundomain when I buy my Components unless I can find a better deal through someone on here (maybe )

Help....please.....
thanks,
-Matt-

Hey Tool. Welcome to the board Tool. I recommend AGAINST buying off the internet. I have ANOTHER friend that just got SCREWED, buying from a "reputable" online dealer, even after I suggested against it. You should go check out some local dealers, and listen to some speakers, and decided on what YOU, the tool likes.

Good luck Tool.

Ty is well adept with handling Tools of all shapes and sizes. He's the **** star of the tool handling world.

Welcome to the board. Genuine Canadian Audio has a good rep so far. Members such as Chris B and other have ordered from GCA. I will be ordering an Interfire VU meter when I actually have some money.

Thanks for the warm welcome and LOL orion.
I am kinda worried about ordering online, but there are NO places in the city that I can go to (that I have been to yet) where I feel comfortable buying from. Most of the weasels dont know anything about their product and always try to upsell to something that is either 1.terrible or 2.unnecessary. (case in point my 1 farad rockford capacitor that I bought when I had no clue.)
The last guy that I used to buy all my stuff from no longer works for the company, and it is hard finding a good contact that is close to where you live. Does anyone in Calgary either work somewhere where I can shop for car audio gear, or have any recommendations?

On another note, is it better/cheaper to buy Knukonceptz gear from GCA rather than from knukonceptz.com?

ave not 16th. Jason's a great guy and he knows what he's talking about.

I have bought from ebay many times, everything *so far* hasn't been a problem haven't had to return anything, sure it's smarter to buy local but if the price far outbits the local price then to ebay I go... pain in the *** for warranty but it still may be cheaper even if you have to return a product... it's up to you and how comfortable you feel about it.
