Question New and need help

Hello, I have a few questions before I dump $1200 into a audio system I'm not completely sure how to set up yet. I have a 2001 Honda Civic LX Coupe and I'd like to completely overhaul the system in it. I have a good idea about audio but not car audio regarding bass. I want to keep all the space I can and would prefer the sub in the trunk without taking up a ton of space. I was thinking of a single 12" subwoofer in a sealed box in the rear of the trunk with the driver pointing to the seats, but from what Ive heard, thats not the best place? does that mean it wont be as loud? Im not looking for "loud" bass, Im looking for more accurate and clean bass. I have a few ideas in mind for the sub but would like to hear back from others that have done it already and have experience. I have no idea how large the box should be and or really anything regarding the sub and position

Parts Im currently looking at buying:
