You should post this on the Ontario Quebec Club Grand Prix site... www.oqcgp.com/forum there will be a lot of people really impressed with it! If you do tell them janaka sent ya ;) i'm some what of a regular over there |

ah cool :)
thought i recognized the name. |
How hard was this, I have wanted to do this in my Saturn for a long time now and still have the spare tire.
|
it was supper easy, those 10" type R's dont need much volume and you can see theres not too much to the walls the hardest part was cutting the crossover holes in the '/8" ply just right. All you really need is a skill saw and hand drill but i would recomend using a table and mitter saw and a drill press to get everything just right if you have access to it. The walls are just screwed to the subs, theres a metal tab on my car stock so I made the walls too long and banged them in and the tab sunk into the wood and holds on super tight. Give it a shot you'll be suprised at how easy it is and dont worry about screwing the walls up they'll be covered with carpet anyway.
Heres a pic of my original set up, I got the idea for it because my sub box is really tall and kept falling over the walls hold it up. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...71_31_full.jpg As you can see in the pic those are just pieces of ply with amps screwed to them. |
looks great, awesome job. i think i'll do the same when i get my grandprix gtp
