Sub is a bassworks Duel 4 ohm voice coil. 1000 watts rms 3000 watts handling peaks. The amp is a little smaller then I want but was very cheap and will make this boom. Its an ultimate (hopefully its half decent lol) 500 watts rms at 2 ohms. 1000 watts peak power.

The box is just a single 12" ported box. I dunno the status on it. Got it for cheap so I didnt complain. Also the capacitor was not purchased at the flee market but I was just showing the size of the 12 lol.

I know its not the largest system but it was in my price range and its a lot better then 300 watts rms from 2 10s lol. Aka 150 watts rms each.

Only problem now is I gotta save for anothert month for my cd player. lol oh well stock will work good enough for now.

Let me know what you guys think.

Lol its a little bit cheaper equipment then what most people buy but it seams half decent at least. Just gotta clean the car out and might have it all in today.

Also the amp booklet thing says you need to have 4 guage minimum wire for it? I have 6 gauge wire? Does it actually matter?

Also when hooking up in series you use on positive terminal from one set of terminals and use the negative from the other correct? And then have the two terminals hooked together?

Might not be top of the line or anything, but hey, if it's enough to make ya happy who's complaining? hehe
How much it all cost you?
Yes that is how you run series, but wouldnt you want it in parallel?

$365 i got the sub amp box and a 20' rca cable. From the flee market. But it came from a store so I have a 1 year parts and labour reciept and every thing. I deal with these guys almost every flee market and never once had to call to complain or anything all thier stuff is exactly what they say it is.

WTF?

So you got a bassworks sub (never heard of it), an amp I've never heard of and a really basic aka bad box for $350. Umm yeah

Sorry bud but you put up this thread and you're asking for opinions, just like I wouldn't want someone to lie to me, I'm not going to lie to you. I think you got some questionable equipment that doesn't likely match together, I would have rather hit up a local shop for a conversation first or eBay

You never heard of bassworks? Ever been to a BestBuy or Future shop and looked at sub boxs? Also the makers of MTX makes Ultimate on a chepaer scale budget. I have Ultimate 10s subs that are only 150 watts rms and they rattled the mirrors in my Seabring they are half decent actually for such a small sub.

And the box is just like any other box? It is ported with a real port carpet all tuned in and everything? I dont see the difference in that box and me buying all the material and building one?

But yes your opinion is your opinion. For $365 I would like to see someone buy a box sub and amp all in that wattage with 1 year parts and labour. Lol
