Used Alpine Type R's are a dime a dozen...

Deck + sub + sub amp can be had for $500 easy at around $150 bux each plus taxes, and he has a banging system. Used gear would be a good way to go. I am sure there are people on here selling these three items.

Used Pioneer deck can be had for that much and it will have three preouts. A couple of used entry level but high quality brand subs like JL W0's or equavalent canbe had for that much including the box, and get a used 500 wrms amp to power them at properly matched impedance for the subs, and you're wailing. Get some cheap cables/wires and even a dumbass could plug everything together, as long as they run power wires on the opposite side from rca's.

He can run factory speakers from the deck, and some Pioneer decks, even low level ones, have HPF and LPF, so that he can tune out the cabin speakers at 80hz HP, and LP the sub at 80hz as well, and he is laughing. Another used small 4-channel amp can be had for like $70 more to power his factory speakers.

I can help you out. I have a Pioneer deh-p4100 for $100.00, a Pioneer 2 channel amp (I forget the model number) for $80.00 and some Polk Audio 6.5" mids & tweets for another $100.00
A wiring harness adaptor, amp kit and speaker wire are fairly cheap too...so yea, $500.00 is doable.

who says you can't fit a sub in an s2000?

i can gareentee i could fit 2 8"s EASILY

We've done a 10 as well, but if he doesn't want to give up the spare tire or a lot of space, and all that money, then it won't happen.

i'd suggest putting in a deck, sub amp, and 8" subwoofer

MR2NR 10-21-2009 01:18 PM

I would suggest to do it right the first time. Start off with a good deck and a set of component speakers. Add the amp next (a 4 channel perhaps) to give life to the front speakers and a future sub. Add the sub if you want one.

There's a yellow s2000 driving around Winnipeg that has 2 12inch G5's inverted. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures.

i like that idea of a 4 chan amp and use the 2 spare channels to run a sub later on.
