kicker_bb 03-09-2008 05:32 PM

thanks i like it cause it has a usb port in the back

jipper 03-09-2008 09:07 PM

Just a piece of advice but mount your amp to the side of the box. This way no body can see what amp your running and steal it.

kicker_bb 03-09-2008 09:11 PM

ok thanks for the tip the funny part is when somthing gets stolen here you go to a pawn shop in a few days it will be there

Jo-Psyko 03-09-2008 09:26 PM

also his stuff is in a trunk.... there not gonna beable to peek in and see it anyway...

as for the pawn shops if there smart they'll take it to bonnyville! hahahahaa

kicker_bb 03-10-2008 09:53 PM

ya well its all a bunch of natives here

scuba789 03-11-2008 12:41 AM

You just put your license plate on the internet for everyone to see.

kicker_bb 03-11-2008 12:45 AM

oh i did not even notice that

kicker_bb 03-11-2008 12:54 AM

i am suprised know one notice that one sub was higher then then the other my freind built me the sub box and when it was all screwed and glued together he noticed it

scuba789 03-11-2008 12:57 AM

Well other than that the box looks good. Are you going to paint or carpet it?

kicker_bb 03-11-2008 01:00 AM

i am not sure if i should panit it of carpet it i dont no witch one would look good

scuba789 03-11-2008 01:04 AM

I prefer carpet myself, but you could always paint it to match your car or interior.

Father Yuli 03-11-2008 01:09 AM

good gear. how much did it cost?

actually i mentioned that earlier hahahaha

blazin454 03-11-2008 05:00 PM

looks good... although i was told not to mount the amp to the box because its hard on the amp due to vibrations.... is that a big concern?

i dont think that would be to much of a problem with good gear... my amp is next to my box and it gets the crap beat out of it... well im guessing it does because my head takes a beating and its at the front of the car hahaha

kicker_bb 03-11-2008 08:48 PM

the only thing is i wish i whould have put my amp on the side of the box i hit a bump the other day and the amp hit the top of the trunk

Jo-Psyko 03-11-2008 08:55 PM

ouch! yeah thats not so good.... hehehe sound deaden the trunk, 2 layers... then it''l have something soft in between it and the metal. Or just move it...

kicker_bb 03-11-2008 10:17 PM

is there any way to stop trunk shaking from the sub when the trunk is open its all good but when the trunk is closed all you hear is the trunk shaking

Jo-Psyko 03-11-2008 11:47 PM

sound deadening..... two layers... on everything that is steel :) then pull all the trim and do the steel under that to! not only will it shut up but it will be louder in the car :)

kicker_bb 03-12-2008 12:02 AM

where do i get the stuff for it

Jo-Psyko 03-12-2008 12:08 AM

well you can order it from one of our vendors.....
you in cold lake so i dont think you'll find it locally.... I know when i was there the only place for audio stuff was the brick... but car audio shops have it...

I ordered mine off this site, from portimex, i got e-dead v1 its 1.40ft3 and you'll need at least 20ft3 to get one good layer on the trunk... you might have some left over... but 20ft3 is a good start :) and there shipping is good to :)

kicker_bb 03-12-2008 12:20 AM

sweet thanks

kicker_bb 03-12-2008 12:21 AM

oh ya cold lake got some audio and performance shops motoring moz and in bonnyville there is the instal bay

Jo-Psyko 03-12-2008 12:22 AM

no prob :) also be sure to get a roller! you dont need but its way better if you have one! if you dont get a sound deadening roller go get a laminate roller... they are pretty much the same thing, it makes for a much better finish and does far more to contour the deadening then you could ever hope to do by hand :)

wuff 03-12-2008 01:12 AM

Also mounting your amp directly on the box like that could damage the internals. IMO i would mount it to a board along the side of your trunk using rubber gromets.
