New System question?
 

I have a 2008 tahoe. I got polk audio components in the front coaxials in the back and I just picked up a Brand New JL Audio XD700/5 for cheap. Now I am debating on a sub i think the amp only pushes out 180 watts at 4 ohms 300 at 2. do u think a JL W0 10 inch would be alright?

The W0 is their most basic strong sounding sub. At 300 watts in the right box, you will be happy at first listen.
There are a couple things you can do depending on what kind of bass you would want.
I would suggest looking at a W1 at least for some better acoustics as they were re-released not too long ago with better performance. If you can't get the right box for the sub, then look into purchasing one of their prefab sub in a box solutions for optimized performance and sound. The prefab's tend to be wired for 2ohm so you will get the most jam that way. So if you want to go as loud as possible, 2ohm sub.



If you want something more musical, go for the 4ohm load.
As for the box, sealed or ported, depends if you like tight or airy and boomy bass.


If you go for the 4ohm load, you cant ride your sub hard as you are under powering it and could blow it over time. Just an FYI.
