Are you listening to music off of CD's or something else, like mp3s or XM/Sirius because the latter will have much less volume output.

I do have a Sirius radio but I was tuning it using a CD. However, I did make some progress. I tried to set the gain again but this time I disconnected my subwoofer. It appears that my sub must of been overpowering my speakers and drowning out the sound. Although there still not as loud as I was expected, maybe I was expected to much. Another question though, Is the clip light supposed to blink during all bass notes? Because I tried turning down the gain but the light continued to blink until the volume was at 20 out of 45.

Dude, it is very likley that the amp has a poor connection to chassis ground...... and that is the first thing I would check given your symptoms.......

bad ground = voltage drop = hard clipping even at low volume

Thats interesting. Is there a way to check if my voltages are dropped or should I just go and move the ground?

The only place I can bring it to is the shop which installed it, but I don't think they will fix it considering when he set it up he had the gain set so the clip meter was blinking alot, although it was loud.

you can use a dmm to measure the voltage the amp is getting...

but your best bet is to just go through the wiring making sure power and ground connections are clean and solid....

What should I be looking for when I check the connections? A loose one or a ground which is not properly cleaned down?

I just took a look at the ground connection but I didn't know if it was ok or not so I took a picture. What do you guys think?
