Pioneer units are difficult to beat for tweakability in their price range. Pioneer makes some very good decks you should be looking at also.

 

If the old Clarion's do not fit your build get your guy to show you the new 07 HU's

it has all the bells and whistles including a front usb port for flash drives or mp3 players . underneath the flip face it has another slot for a sd memory card and also has a full ipod interface through the hu if you buy the extra ipod cable . The sound out of this thing is great not sure what youre budget is but this one ran me about 450 but im sure prices have dropped bye now . as is the nature of tech

I have a Pioneer 8600MP and I love it, Auto-timing, great eq w/ 3 custom settings, a lot of control, sounds great, and picked it up for $200 shipped on
ebay. Great deck, worth every penny!
