Newbie with 2 questions

Hi how are you I am Ryan from Toronto Canada,

I just bought a 2003 caddy escalde, and I am going to be putting in a system in the next couple of weeks. Basically I am just wanting to get a little more bass using my stock HU.

For my RCA out put I have gone with

http://www.soundoffaudio.com/item.cfm/id/2146

An my good friend Jeff from Audio Heaven has suggested I go with

2 10 inch Orion C2 102

and

Orion Amp WCC-8001

I was just wondering if anyone can give me any feed back on these item good or bad I have been out of the car audio came for a while.

As I said is just for a little bass basicly a little push, my main concern down the road is my head unit and screens.

Thanks
Ryan

a question back to you would be are you set on those subs
and also are you set on that amp?

the subs look decent... no opinion, but if you looking for some affordable bass people have been raving at the cost of the mach 5 audio stuff. something like 60 bucks for a 12, and 74 for a 15 inch...

and also that amp is not very strong, something like 200Wrms to each sub will be all you are getting.

I am going with that combo for the price my installer is giving it to me for, and also for my use, because I just want a little boom over stock nothing spl u know. I want sound quality.

I have first hand experience with Orion product, if you are looking for decent bass than that setup will be fine but if you plan on upgrading in the future than I suggest going with the Orion hp subs and the hcca amps.

A bit OT

Hi Ryan,

Congrats on your purchase. If there's anything I can suggest to you it would be to purchase a third party immobilizer for your vehicle. I live in the auto theft capital of Canada (Winnipeg) and Escalades are a favourite of car theives around here. I know nothing of the Escalade, and if it already has an immobilizer built in, it is obviously real easy to bypass...

Best,
Mark
