Newbie System Setup (2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT)

Hey, so im new at this whole car audio stuff, but i would like to have 4 subs (i know overkill) But that is what i want and i probably don't need it but once again it's what i want to have. Problem is i have little knowledge on this stuff, so im curious as to what i would need to have to power 4 subs as well as 4 speakers and 4 tweeters.

The 2 rear speakers are 6" x 9" and the 2 front are 6-1/2"

Uhm the subs i want are DC Level 4XL, On second thought maybe just 2 subs lmao i was reading up on these and...that would probably satisfy me well enough.

You will need a four channel amp to run your mids and tweets along with the passive xovers that come with most sets of components. If you just want to add tweeters to what u already have, most are sold with their own passive xovers and can be hooked up in addition to your current speakers. A sub amp that will match the final impedance load that your subs are wired at. Eg; if your subs combined load after wired is 1ohm. You would want to buy a 1 ohm stable amp. If u run a 1ohm load on a 2ohm amp, you could damage the amp. If you run a 2ohm load on a 1ohm amp, you will only get part of the power that amp is able to produce.

Unless you have a Suburban or something else with a lot of extra space I'd suggest going with two of those subs. The most important aspect of subwoofer install is the enclosure they're in. You're gonna need huge airspace inside your box to run four of those subs. Also, make sure you can afford to have sufficient power to run those subs. Under powering subs is useless in a multi-sub setup if u can properly power fewer subs.

Don't forget about the electrical to back up the 1-ohm (if required) stable amp. Big 3, dual 1/0 runs to the back, at least 1 extra batt. etc.
Those XL's are beautiful subs, but need lotsa power (their RMS rating is really a suggested starting point) and a REALLY stiff, well designed enclosure.
