Newest purchase: a twin!

After being a fan of car audio and specifically Alpine for over 15 years, I am very happy to say I've acheived a personal goal of owning not one, but now TWO Alpine 3545 amplifers :D

Yep, it's pretty beat-up looking but its apparently working just fine and I can get it looking back to new again. Just like I did with the other one I bought last year.

I think this is one of the coolest amps ever made. I used to drool over the one Stereo People in West Ed Mall had on their board in the late 80s. Before I could drive, I dreamed of owning a new Mustang GT with one of these powering 4 RF Pro 18s and two Alpine 3539s flanking it on the amp rack. I even drew pictures of what it would look like. For my grade 10 drafting extra assignment project, I drew a poster-sized 3545 in isometric :D. I will now have two of the '45s and I already own a '39 and just won an auction for another dead '39 that is local that I got for $1.

How were you planning on fitting four RF Pro18's in a Mustang GT? :smilie_da

Nice find BTW and let's hope it works A1 for the money you paid for it.

Hey, it was the late 80s and isobarik was KING! lol Actually, I had really skewed thoughts as to what kind of room I figured was behind the back seat. NO WAY they would have fit. Back seat would have had to come out and even then, two facing forward and two buried in the back of the box, slot loaded at the bottom.

Those things usually sell for around $350-500 US so what I paid isn't all that bad. The one I scored locally though for $140 CDN rocked
