157 or 165? ON a pair of Pioneer 10s (yeah TSW100s - BFD) What's that sound?? Ohhh, that's your credibilty being flushed away...

You don't even know my setup.. man... I guess I have only one emoticon for that: Go back to hanging out at the junior high, deafening everyone with your 10s..
LOL, your a real class act man. A real winner and in reality, I couldn't care less if you believe me or not because the way you act proves who the tool is around here. I could easilly get 2 or 3 people in here to confirm my story about the dual 10's SPL output but why bother with you.

I didn't smoke speakers because I wanted to or am proud of it, I did because the amp was unknowingly to much power for the crap components even at 1/4.

FYI just because you don't own an amp or lived through the cheater amp era doesn't mean that it didn't happen or that they didn't exist. Everybody during those days INSTANTLY knew when the PPI's were being manufactured in China because of the SQ and power output. And PPI's name went to crap.

BTW the Blade Grenades THD was rated at something obscene like 0.0009 and that was thier low end line.

You act like.. "That is BS and they claimed a bunch of BS" but yet claim that manufactures "claim" realistic ratings today. Your a real class act man and the only person that looks like a tool is the person that thinks they know it all but don't have a clue about the old amplifiers abilities or read about the bench tests back in the day.

BTW how old are you 12? Best that you stick with your high SQ class D Jensen cr@p.
BTW you rave about how great new amps are.. well if class D is that great why do I rarely see it if ever in high end home audio? Because class D sucks for SQ audio reproduction.
Read this to educate yourself.

http://stereos.about.com/od/homestereotechnologies/a/amp_op_classes.htm

Infact almost all high end home audio amps are class A or AB and kick the living tar out of 95% of all car audio. I don't think you can find a SQ home audio class D setup because of the inherant way class - D amps work. They are used on subs because bass is distorted anyway and the human hear doesn't pick it up.

With regards to the SQ and amps...see Mr. Clark!!! As far as reliability, many more amps are built today for a larger number of buyers= more sent for repairs, it's a numbers game. I recently spoke to a prominent independant Amp repair facility that repairs most of the brands we all use. His comment, when asked what he thought of the new RF amps;" I get a few RF amps, but they sell so many that it's not even an issue. They use very good parts and are very well built, and offer excellent service when I need parts. Most of the problems are from user error, overheating due to bad install, and improper wiring for the correct load." Anyway, continue discussing this is a fun thread.
If I recall I think the Kicker car did more than 180 db's back in the day. ONE HUGE SINGLE SUB sitting in the middle of the rear. And one HUGE A/C cooled amp running the length of where the rear seat use to be.

So at a 1/4 gain whats the difference between .00009 and 1% distortion????

You guys have to admit that 200 Watts out of a Sony and 2 10" subs hiting 157-165Db is really hard to chew. Back in the day I was running a USAamps VL150 which was doing around 390W RMS with 2 10" subs and hit 135Db in a Hyundai Excel. I also fail to believe on a comp. mic and meter system the Sony would out do the USamps. And this is why Dukk mentioned proof. You have to totally understand his point. And what he is also saying is that everyone stretches there specs. now.

And BTW AB amps are cleaner power, less distortion, and have more head room. Some D Class amps run at 10%THD.
