Either way it doesn't matter how they rate it, at 12, 14, or 18 volts it's still a rating that should be achieved when conditions are as stated in the rating.

Welcome to the USA, here you will find yes, people here don't brag about "mirrors shakin" lol, because anyone with 300watts can make their mirror shake. It's about latchin down my hood better to make it stop vibrating

OH, and here it's also not uncommon to run 3,000+ watts in a personal system. You want a bench rating? Go buy yourself a 275G4 and get it benched. Easy 1600 under 14V. easy.

The reason I don't run competition is because I'm not in it to see who paid the most to have someone else do all their work. It's all about hobby, and if you can't respect that then I don't see why you even bother talking

LMAO! HAH! If I'm in a competition where I can have 100% Distortion and still signup then HELL YEAH get me ALL THE CLASS D POWER I CAN FIND! HAHAHA

Wow, some people never give up. Seems like this whole time we've had a few losers fighting the subject, while more and more educated people are joining this forum supporting class A/B while the few ants keep arguing that class D is going to rock my components! YEAH

And FYI, meters DO read distortion, and if you're anyone who cares about about the condition of your speakers you won't intentionally run distortion to them.

Well in my eyes and THIS IS JUST IMO the AB class amps have always sounded better to me and there is not very many manufactures that make D class full range amps. Due to the fact that it's very expensive and not cost effective because they have to use very good components within it to keep distortion at a minimum because in a full range amp you would be able to tell the difference 100%. The Class D main purpose was to produce high amounts of power with less draw then a AB amp without increasing audible distortion.

I've actually never heard of a class d amp being made for components. I was just exaggerating the point. It seems here people think that a/b and d can have the exact same THD ratings, when if that was true why are they in a different class?

yeah right. you were selling those amps, yet you have no idea what they run. So you were selling them for about $150/each then, i mean, you say it's only 2x75, everything other rating is just corporate propaganda.

The quote is a classic trademark phrase from Rockford in the late 80s. Remember, back when those real amps were made. Anyone but a noob recognizes that. I'd be careful latching down that hood though - that square wave generator you call a 275G4 will likely cause you to make routine trips under there..

I suppose 3kw really is pretty easy (where that number came from is another fantasy I guess), especially when you add up power ratings by your system. Dreams * propaganda - reality = you.

I'm intrigued where you got the idea that I or Veeman were pro ClassD? We're both pro reality, something foreign to you. Is it all the cheese??

LOL! it's 2 275G4's btw, and a 425HCCA.
And when this this turn so brutal? damn! lol
3kw isn't that big of a system, hell the T30001BD birth sheets show 3.6kW+, maybe that's a dream too. (And yes, i know it's class D)
Anyways this is getting way too personal for me, i'm not in here for anything but fun.
Hell from the sounds of it you've probably got 3kW+ in your personal system too, don't know why it's so hard to believe A/B could make serious wattage output.

The cheese probably has something to do with it too...
