3/4 MDF with proper bracing is all you need. PM me if you're interested in an enclosure

What is that brace in the middle for ?
Also, I'd like an overlap on the sides so it's easy to life, and a rear slant.
Something like this JL prowedge box

Is there a rule of thumb for how long a mdf panel can be without bracing?

Not really... but the less 'flex' your enclosure has, the better.

Have you ever seen high end HT towers? The the insides look like a maze of bracing

Makes sense.

Even the inside of my little Mirage HDT bookshelfs are braced up good.

Oh, and back to the original poster, cool sub, loved the old solos, didn't find much better at rock music back in the day!

Thanks. Yes I mainly use it for rock music, Guns and roses, Journey, Rush, AC/DC etc etc
