I just won this thing for $57CAD. I needed a small amp that does the job...
http://members.shaw.ca/fivelitermustang/Punch501.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/fivelitermust...1internals.jpg It's rated at 200W RMS but this is on of the older amps (circa 98) so it's before RF started homoing out their stuff. Any old school guys can tell me what the actual output of this thing is? [ December 14, 2003, 11:53 PM: Message edited by: fivelitermustang ] |
I think the older ones (circa 96) were suppposed to be 1/2 or 1/4 ohm stable. Not sure about that one though....is this the manual?: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftec...1_50-2_MAN.pdf

Looks like 325 watts into a 1 ohm load. $57, nice score!

I have one of these in my car (and a 50.2) mine are chrome... a friend had 3 in his truck too, good amps. I have mine running 2 IDQ 12's and he had 2 running ID Chameleons (one left, one right) and the other running 4 ID 15's... they work good. I know ours listed well over $900 each (we didn't quite pay that cuz we bought 5 of 'em)
I'd say you got a good deal |
No way... $900?!! Why the high price?
By the way it's missing the endcaps... do you know where I could go to find some? I tried Ebay... |
Maybe I'm wrong, our are Power 50.1's, maybe this isn't (though I didn't know they made a Punch 50.1) I have an extra set of Black end Caps, that amp came with the gold ones but I'm sure mine would fit, too bad I'm in Ontario...
What are you gonna run with it? |
I'm gonna run a single 12" with it... like a Shiva, or a Boston Acoustics ProSeries 12.1...
Btw... how much would you want for the endcaps and screws? I'd pay for shipping and whatnot... |
I'll trade ya the endcaps for the amp
