Cool

I can't say enough about my new toy . . .

When switching over from a CDA-9815 to an IVA-D900, I didn't expect too much of a difference in terms of sound quality. However, I was in for a treat.

The sound quality on my new D900 is way more clearer and sharper than my old 9815. The 900 seems to have better tone as well. It must the preouts cause I am not using the internal amplifier. I always heard that the 9815 had some troubles with the preout voltage levels. Anyway, I can now acutally listen to my music with the MX feature on at 2, which I was only able to do very little on my 9815. Furthermore,
I also get excellent radio reception. I can acutally pick up 93.7 in Buffalo crystal clear with my receiver. I can't say enough about my new found SQ deck.

Video quality is also nothing short of perfect. I can't beleive how good the picture looks on the LCD as compared to all other in-dash units. You get excellent sharpness, colour separation, and true black reproduction to name a few of the benefits that the D900 has over it's slim competition.

I was going to get the D300 but I realised that I would too about the touchscreen feature. I pick my nose alot, figure it out for yourselves. Also, the preout voltage was shockign to find out that they were only 2 volts each throughout all 3 pre's. Lastly, no face off. What the heck was Alpine thinking?

I am extremely happy about my D900 and consider it to be one of the best SQ decks out there.

Im glad you love the sound, but technically the 9815 has superior sound features, bass engine pro rather than base engine plus and higher watts.

Im not trying to bash the 900 id love to have one myself.
