Opinions: RCA cables
I chased down a problem with my left channel which has been bugging me for a few weeks last night; turned out my el-cheapo RCA cable had a break which intermittently stopped passing signal to my front stage amps; VERY annoying.
All I had to test/replace the RCA was 3 seperate short, crap-quality cables held together with dual barrel connectors.(they were cables included with gear; black, super thin, red & white ends) I can't hear any engine niose and don't notice any other changes, so why bother upgrading?? I had priced some Stinger 6000/8000 series, but... Opinions? |
You already said why you should buy a better/decent cable:
my el-cheapo RCA cable had a break which intermittently stopped passing signal I like a mid-range twisted pair cable with metal ends. Something like the Stinger Bullet series. |
I have about 20 different sets of rca's cheep ones, expensive ones and mediocre ones. As dukk said i have notice little or no sound quality improvements weather u use cheap or expensive. I have noticed that i get quality issues with breaking pins and splitting wires with the cheaper ones. If anything grab some midlevel ones that are built better and will last longer and will eliminate the need to replace broken or worn out pairs

Thanks guys.
