Ottawa= Death to Car Audio?

Ok..i've been in Ottawa 5 years now. My interest in this industry as an installer has declined each year since arriving. Yes we live in the "Great White North" so remote starts are a staple..and dealers want overhead DVD systems on the cheap....this is not why i got into this industry. I long for some actual audio installations...the more custom the better. Is there a market in this city for IASCA quality system design/installation? If so I have yet to work at such a shop..or hear of one. Please, if any shop owner/ rep from the Ottawa area knows of a place doing some, post here! I will be available within two weeks.

Well iv been building custom car audio here for bout 15 years or so.I always seem to have a big project on the go.What shop are u from?

Shon... that's Wayne, he works at Joes Car Audio.. I think I mentioned him to you before.

I think you're right Wayne.. I've seen more interest in Car Audio out in Arnprior than I have ever seen in Ottawa.
Hell, I just hinted at the idea of opening up a shop to Shon and he just shook his head. There's just no interest
Of course... there's no interest unless someone gives people a decent place to get work done. So it's a bit of a catch-22.
There are a few members on the board from Ottawa but it seems to be a minor interest for them.
Maybe the 3 of us should get together for lunch one day and discuss. There's GOT to be something we can do to help out car audio around here! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

future shop says giddy-up to a show at our location! and thanks for attending our spl gig at the links stadium last summer you boners.lmao
We plan on doing another one this year, as well if you guys want to plan an event, count me in

Well, if they'll let us have a show at your shop then we should have a couple. I've got a TermLab so that takes care of the meter...
lets get something going, advertise the crap out of it, and make it happen!

we have to make it on the weekend that there arent any shows, also if Importnite happens this year,J.C has asked me to run an SPL gig there. He liked the job we did at T.S.C (Links stadium show)
T.S.C is at the end of the summer, Flip has started plans for this years show and SPL is a definate!

Its too bad that hooters closed down in Bells Corners.We had 2 insane shows there.I think your buddys from Huntsville showed up for the last one
