so i go into Electronic North today ( local alpine supplier) to get some info on subs and amps, and this sales guy try`s to sell me a type x sub( 12") with no box for 800 buks, and an amp ( not to sure of the model) for 900 buks, and to make things even better he`s got this amp wiring kit out for 149.99. ( by the way... the rca cables arn`t included) and hes telling me that i might as well spend the money on a good amp wiring kit, because he`s seen three cheaper ones cath on fire this year alone! so he says all of this stuff is top of the line, and that they offer the best prices around. now im not a car audio expert by any means, but dont you think we`re getten robbed up north lol???

 

it might be a little bit of high priceing but no different then down where i live really and if it was 0 G wiring kit thats acctuly a pretty good buy on it

yah it wasn`t a 0g wiring kit tho it was a 4g, and it only came with 18 feet of tottaly wire

 

Wow thats a HUGE Rip...Unless the amp was a PDX series, then ..ahh hell who am I kiddding, Its still a rip..BIG TIME..SAve yourself some money drive to TOronto on a weekend, and call it a day..Or order from Steve,(smartass), unless its Alpine you want...

 

I go to school at Nipissing and I've been to that shop. Screw them and screw their prices, I got my type X and MRD-1005 and all the bits and pieces to get it in and running for 1600.. I over paid, but I got the stuff when it first came out. I can get a type X for 560 retail or 360 used. Try stereo plus, their somewhat more reasonable, and they carry alpine

 

For that price, its worth the drive to southern ontario. Nothing makes me want to jump in the car like a couple hundred bucks in savings!

 

toronto? when someones gets a deal down here please let me know. i frequented alot shops in the gta and its very rare to walk away with extra quid in your pocket. i`ve only found deals on gear that was clearing out, and if your looking for high end suff....forget it.

sorry to say once again its the good ol U.S of A where the real deals are. but thats not all without its drawbacks as well.

 

Sounds a little pricey to me you should call around to different alpine dealers and price it out.

 

Yeah if you think thats bad a shop up in P-Dot wanted $600 for 10" type x and for the box and combo $650.
