Overpowering Subs?
Hey, I have dual 10's that are 600w rms total and 2 ohms, I'm planning on buying an amp that runs at 1000w rms at 2 ohms, would I be overpowering my subs if i set the gains correctly?
|
if you set it for 600 watts then probably not. if you set it for 1000 watts then I'm gonna say yes.
|
What are the subs and what is the prospective amp?
|
The subs are mtx thunder tc510's and the amps are either the sony xplod xm gtr6001, 900 rms at 2 ohms, or the alpine mrp m1000, 1000 rms at 2 ohms

Oh you're definitely going to blow that up on the first T-Pain song you play ... shaaawdaaaay
Side Note: Those subs will take it, I'm throwing 850rms on 2 10's and 2 12's (I have both setups) right now ... no big deal. |
lol love the name. now we need someone to be called EastCoastHydro

thanks dawg, but yo do you guys think thats too much power?

You should be fine. It's always better to have a little more than not enough. Just set your gains properly. :smokin:
