Overthinking everything.... TELL ME!
 

Ok so enough sleepless nights. My system (on paper) is pretty much done. What I do know is this.

Alpine 9887 head unit
CDT ES62i components
Audison 2.500 running them.

THen the confusion.

Am looking at the IDQ10V3 sub, OR the CDT SQ1000. NOW, do I run another 2.500 or the 1.400. Part of this would be determined by the sub I suppose. The 1.400 only makes decent power at 2 ohm which eliminates the CDT as it's a SVC 4 ohm only. If I go with the IDQ through both amps are still options.

SO... what sub do you guys think, and which amp to run them? Price wise the 1.400 would be $339, and the 2.500 would be $499. Subs would be about $350 for the CDT or $230 for the IDQ.

2.500 runs 660 RMS into 4 OHM, so either sub would work.

1.400 runs 650 RMS into 2 ohm, ONLY the IDQ works.

I am obviously looking primarily for SQ and have limited space, which is why I've looked at these 2 subs. Will the 2 oh, 1.400 loose SQ? Headroom and damping I'm sure will suffer, but I've been out of the game too long to evaluate well.
