Personal Car Audio System Question

I recently decided on my system and was just wondering if there is anything I'm missing or if anything is wrong. Here is everything I plan on buying:

*Sub-woofers*

*Amplifier*

Along with the lack of sub out i noticed those subs are 2ohm each, which would be wired to 1 or 4ohm. since that amp isn't stable at 1ohm you'd only be getting 300w total @ 4ohm instead of the 600w you were probably going for. if you get them in 4ohm models you can wire to 2ohm and get the most of that amp; http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-SW2501S4.html

Also, don't forget a wiring kit for the amp!

EDIT: Read the amp specs wrong, you'd only be powering the subs half their rated rms even at 2ohm, might want to look at a 600w rms amp @2ohm?

The HU has:
Preamp RCA Outputs - 2 Pairs (Front and Switchable Rear/Subwoofer)
Sub Preamp RCA Output - No

I want to power my subs at the RMS rating (300 watts). I'm new at all this and the only thing I don't fully understand are amps... Could you possible give me some tips? I thought that since the subs are 2ohms and the amp is 2-channel mono I would put 1 sub in each channel and wire them like this:

http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2SVC_2-ohm_2ch.jpg

That way the amp would take the subs at 2ohms and I would get the 300 watts I'm looking for, for the subs. I could be wrong though, since I'm new at this...

Thanks again for the help!

The amp is mono, as in one channel. They give you two sets of terminals to make wiring up a parallel pair of speakers easier. The total load on the amp cannot go below 2ohms.

You need two 4 ohm subs.

Okay, that makes sense now. So if I get the 4ohm subs and wire them like this:

http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2SVC_4-ohm_mono.jpg

(but with 2 channels, just to make wiring easier)

it should work?

Yup, wiring like that with a mono amp like the MTX you were looking at would work fine, but you'll be underpowering the subs by half because the 300w is each sub; two of them = 600w rms to be optimally matched power wise. If you're set on MTX I would recommend something more like this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...X-RFL600D.html
