phasing question
do you guys run your subs in or out of phase with the interiors?
|
depends if the "interiors" you are talking about is leather or cloth...ha ha just kidding. it really depends up to you as to what you want to do. Try listening to it both ways and determine which gives you the best sound. There is no formula...its all in the ears man...Good luck. By the way, you wrote interiors, does this mean that you also have exteriors too? Hmmmm.

if we're talking about absolute phase, you would ideally like it in phase.
if you're talking about relative phase (whether mechanical or eletronically), well that depends on if it will make it in phase absolutely ;) |
well I usuall out of phase the front's left and right and just put the subs normally, but that is me.

In phase if your subs face front. Reverse if your subs face back.
If they are out of phase they will subtract at the crossover point rather than add. It will sound like you have a hole in your frequency response if they are out of phase. |
