The CD8053 does indeed have 3 preouts. This deck is designed to be used with the optional 37601 balanced line driver. Do yourself a favour, look at the model CD8443 which is relatively the same cd player, 3 pairs of 8 volt 55ohm non clipping pre-outs. The money that you save from not buying the top of the line and balanced line adaptor can be channeld into a better set of component speakers or an amp.

Yeah i am looking at the CD8443 but what i didnt like was the part in the PDF that showed there rms out power is only 13*4, which seems pretty week for a deck that's suppose to be some what superior to a point.... is that a typo? cause I don't really have intentins of using external amps for rear fill/front stage anytime soon.... which is where the Pioneer puts out 23*4... You know, Chizzer, that RMS rating may be small, but believe it or not of all the decks I heard deck power on, none of them were cleaner than the Eclipse. Alpine's decks advertised at 60x4 ones were close.

Besides, you are forbidden to use deck power anyway, so I have automatically convinced you.

Case in point: Deck power ratings mean nothing.

Yeah true, I suppose for the time being it's something I could deal with I would run external amps anyway just few months down so I could deal with the 13 big rms output..... I found this deck on Ebay for about 360$ and that was pretty much the only listing... Who in Canada carries them Since I am on work the Proxies keep us out of looking up anything!, just waiting for Solectron to block this site lol....

LOL. Ping the site and type in the IP address. If it's ebay, type in "pages.ebay.com". You'll be able to see the listings but not view them individually.

Yeah, that proxy is no fun sometimes.

I have used just about every major brand of head unit, and I prefer Eclipse, no question. As for those ratings, look at it this way. I believe clarion rates their deck power higher than Eclipse's. I have seen the shop swap out a clarion and put in an eclipse, and it was noticebly louder(this was using the deck's internal amp). Get the eclipse, but I strongly recommend against buying it off ebay. You said you found it for $360 on ebay. That is only $59 cheaper than full retail in the US, and you would lose all factory warranty.

Here are a couple of phone numbers that may help you in finding a dealer(or somebody on here may be able to point you to a dealer).

IBTL? Not 100% yet but perhaps, do they have servic centers in Canada so I don't have to ship across border?
