The CD8053 does indeed have 3 preouts. This deck is designed to be used with the optional 37601 balanced line driver. Do yourself a favour, look at the model CD8443 which is relatively the same cd player, 3 pairs of 8 volt 55ohm non clipping pre-outs. The money that you save from not buying the top of the line and balanced line adaptor can be channeld into a better set of component speakers or an amp.

You know, Chizzer, that RMS rating may be small, but believe it or not of all the decks I heard deck power on, none of them were cleaner than the Eclipse. Alpine's decks advertised at 60x4 ones were close.
Besides, you are forbidden to use deck power anyway, so I have automatically convinced you.
Case in point: Deck power ratings mean nothing.

I have used just about every major brand of head unit, and I prefer Eclipse, no question. As for those ratings, look at it this way. I believe clarion rates their deck power higher than Eclipse's. I have seen the shop swap out a clarion and put in an eclipse, and it was noticebly louder(this was using the deck's internal amp). Get the eclipse, but I strongly recommend against buying it off ebay. You said you found it for $360 on ebay. That is only $59 cheaper than full retail in the US, and you would lose all factory warranty.
Here are a couple of phone numbers that may help you in finding a dealer(or somebody on here may be able to point you to a dealer).
