If you do pick up the 8443 you wont be disapointed, the sound is superior to anything I have heard to date. The thing about the decks rms is that eclipse doesnt advertise 35 x 4 PEAK watts via the deck, they advertise what the deck really puts out.

The deck comes with 3 pre-outs, 2 tuning modes, the backlighting can be changed from green to red(red looks the best), 2 different display modes and a bunch of other useful stuff.

Oh Trust me if I get this head unit and it's the way you all claim it to be, I will be join the 8 series eclipse club.. lol.... yeah I am fading more away from the the pioneer the more I think about it, any idea of the cost on this E-Comm it needs and if I get it so I can use mp3 disks, is it some bulky *** thing, or can it be hidden easy?

The setup I might go with is the Eclipse Cd8443, Jl Audio Xr-653 Components, not sure about rear fill and nice single 10" W7.... to me I think it would sound pretty nice and clean.... what type amp should I use? what would be the best for the 10 W7/Xr-653's? Jus stick with Jl or another brand?
