Nope and i dont think they will import it in NA. It's still very hard to find in Europe...

Still waiting for some real reviews and to find out if it have a 31band EQ per channel before even thinking replacing my current kit.

Exactly. Not much market for a $1000+ CD player in North America unfortunately :(

It's uber cool though.

So there's a bigger, better market for high end car audio in Europe or Asia, than the U.S. ???

Dukk 09-09-2009 02:44 PM

Absolutely. Alpine has often had a completely separate Japan only lineup, Pioneer has Europe only products, etc. People in other parts of the world will drop the dollas for sweet gear. The market for that stuff is sadly too small in NA to often warrant the extra money to import low volume gear, change them to work in NA , and comply with our standards (CSA, UL, etc). For many of these companies, to try to stay competitive it is better they try to develop the $199 flip out DVD video deck, than a $1199 uber SQ deck.

I'm not sayin it's right, I'm just sayin that's how it is... :dunno:

the return on investment is low in North America. I would consider purchasing it if it were available though, I might 'gray market' it, or it might loose out to a vintage Denon or McIntosh (minimal features), or an inexpensive Eclipse CD7200, or a NIB DRZ9255 or even a NIB P9. I would love to have a Pioneer ODR

ok the deck will be released here in canada in late jan early feb, and yes it does full 4 way xover hi/mid/low band,4cnal with full time alignment per channel... i have been looking at this deck now for over a month and will get mine very soon from belgium. also this deck will be the equivelant of a top quality sq deck with 4 24bit da converters.copper chassis, advanced clock for anti jitter, and two rockford 360.2 built in.... plus a circuit for ipod hookup to upscale the sound quality of your crappy mp3 files to near audiophile quality... yes my friends very nice......
