i have a DEH-P8600MP

this morning i go to put my faceplate on, snap it in, then go to change a cd. and the faceplate will not open up. so i opened my dash, rehooked all the cords etc, cleaned the contacts of the face.. and it still wont open.


is there anything else i can do?

Do what I did and go buy an ipod hookup, therefore no cds...but on a more realistic note if the deck is working other than the faceplate not coming down you might be in trouble. My deck gave me trouble one day last summer and than was fine after that and I haven't had a problem since. Just hope its having an off day.

im not spending 100$ on a stupid ipod cord.

not to mention i want cd's

this deck is less then a year old, everything else is working. the cd thats in there right now. still plays if i switch to cd.

and when i press open, nothing happens. i dont even hear it attempt to open the faceplate. so im guessing something is lose inside
