Pioneer Premier DEX-M88?
Anyone remember this one?:
Anyone remember what kind/type of D/A converter it had? Preout strength? Number of preouts? Any other special features? Thanks!

I have a brochure at home with the M88 in it.
I can't remember the type of D/A but I do remember it had something like 4v RCA outputs at a crazy 4ohm impedance.
My biggest worry would be that it's 12+ years old so parts are gonna be tough to get.

Wow thats old. Like 1993 old. Anyways I guess I'll show my true age again (what is it with you and the old gear anyways )
- It was a preout only deck (no internal amp)
- 1-bit D/A converter
- It had changer control
Hope that helps!

You are probably right Joe. As my foggy brain remembers, the published specs say 2volt with no specified output impedence but in an early issue of Carsound they tested the one in David Navone's car and it was 4v @ 4ohm.
Classic old school overperformance
Again, this is from memory..
