still fixable!! Don't throw in the towel on it just yet!

I don't know how much more Damage there is. That's all I see..
The funny thing is, My 250 is still fine. ugh..This depresses me. Right next to Christmas too. |
i know how you feel lol.
|
you just need to identify the transistors, head over to www.digikey.com, buy them, solder them. Clean up that bridge which shorted. If you dunno how to do them, and decide to throw them away, donate it to me. Or you can bring it to S&S and have them fix it for you.
|
either digikey or even mouser.
both great places to deal with if you're a DIY'er good luck |
Mouser has larger selection, but you'd get raped from shipping if you don't buy a lot to be worth while. Shipping from Digikey is only 8 bucks for most time. Usually I only shop @ digikey and alliedelectronics. Allied sell cheap @ss vishay dale resistors. :D prices are comparable to mouser. However, discrete parts like transistors can only be found on Mouser/Digikey. Other vendors usually cost a lot more.

Definatley fix it....those old amps are work horses
|
i wouldnt of dream of giving up...you will miss that amp i tell ya
|
This DIY is over my head.
It worked for so many years. probably just sell my 250 and donate it with whoever buys the 250. I'm probably going to go for a new amp anyways. |
