the plan?

So ive decided to start up a new system for 2007... my previous set up was 2 octane ZR 12's and a octane R 15.0.1 it pounded pretty good had a fair amount of bass... but i managed to sell it for a really good price so ive got nothing right now
my next plan is this
1 Soundstream SPLX-12
powered by Soundstream PCA2000D 2000 watts rms @ 1 ohm
with say a 5 farad cap from soundstream and my red top...
my question is
with the right box... nothing too huge just medium sized and ported will this be a suitible street setup?
i can get the amp and sub for less than 700 new... so that gives you and idea on what im spending, im buying from the same place i always do, sonicelectronix.com so if you think i should get somethign else just post a link
i would like to stay with a single sub. just to save some room.
is there a better single sub setup for that price? should i go for the T4-12 instead? or a different company all together
i want it nice and loud and to still sound decent
your thoughts go here

I say ditch the cap first of all. Second, I would go with a different sub personally. Haven't really heard the soundstream products, but I know that the splx is geared more towards burping I do believe. If you have 2000 @ 1 ohm, try finding something that will take a ton of power (re mt, fi bl or btl, dd 9515, etc). Thats just my opinion though, you might want to hold off for a bit to see what others have to say.

Is that 700 us then? Or landed cost?

700 without shipping which is something along the lines of 50 bucks...

look in the used section... someone is always selling a massive sub they paid big bucks for, at a decent price.
