Ported box volume for Eclipse SW9102?
 

So I'm putting a system into my 2003 Ford F150 extd cab 4x4.
I'm going to be building a box between the front and rear seats in the middle behind the centre console.
I'm thinking of having the sub downfiring and then ported towards the passenger doors. I'll be running 800 rms on it.
Does anyone know the box specs on these subs, they are difficult to find.
Does anyone have comments/advice on the box design?

Unfortunately, I can only find the Vas, FS, and Qts specs and they mean nothing to me. (I did look up the definitions)
I thought usually manufacturers put out optimum box volumes for sealed/ported etc.
Has anybody had experience with the Ti's?

Okay, I have some more info on the box. It will be a ported 1.18 cub. ft. box. For daily driving, what would you guys recommend my port tuning be? Should I use a 2" diameter port?
I also wanted to add this sub has a 1.5" xmax(one way). I would like to reduce port noise as much as possible.
I listen to all kinds of music, mostly classic rock, alternative, techno.

OK you will want a box volume around 3.6 ft^3, with port tuning of 20-22 hz. That tuning seems a little low to me but you probably can get away with it.

Should I just stick with a sealed box at that volume or still go with ported?
I've been using the12volt for box/port calcs, seems pretty decent too.

Going with 1.2 cubic feet in a sealed enclosure will yield you a Qtc of .78. That is pretty close to what is considered ideal (.707). The F3 rolls off at 39 HZ which seems a bit high to me. The Fc (resonant frequency) is 43 Hz. Give it a try and see how you like the sound.

Okay, I'm done the new system. Kenwood DVD player, Ultimate T3 500D amp, Eclipse SW9102 sub. I built this box to about 1.3 cub ft sealed. The sub is downfiring and sounds incredible. Lots of movement in the truck with the bass, plenty loud and clean.
It also goes nice and low for movies.
Here's a rough drawing of the box. It sits level with the top of the centre console and continues to the back of the rear seats. It also sits on the floor and the sub is recessed about 3" from the floor. And 2 people can still sit in the back, and both front seats still recline.
