i found a program that is supposed to tell me what configuration will sound best for a particular sub, first off i know it's not 100% accurate, but it's an idea. But i don't know what the hell the configurations are that it's talking about. it has sealed1 and sealed2, i know they are sealed but have no idea what the difference is, and the others are BB4, SQB3, and C4. i want to use the SQB3. it's ported but that's all i can figure out, there are no reference in the instructions so i'm just wondering if these are commonly used terms and what they mean it they are. im using the program call ported.xls on this site http://www.diysubwoofers.org/prt/

SBB4, SC4, QB3 are flat alignments and roll off flatter (~20db/oct)
SQB3, BB4, C4 are not flat alignments - tend to get "peaky" at tuning then a steeper roll off(30 db/oct) and i imagine that group delay would be high too. (bass hits out of time)

of course all the alignments require specific QTS`s.
as well, box sizes will vary as well.

It depends on what you want to do. Get loud or sound nice.

this is my basic understanding at the moment.
Can anyone add anything?
