ported or sealed
 

What would be better for some high impact deep bass 2 kicker 12L7 in a larger ported box or 2 kicker 15L7 in a sealed box. Would be running off a orion HCCA-D5000(2500 rms@ 1 ohm)

Ported......thats what they are designed for!

Ummm... accutally if it's the "kick" your looking for a sealed is the way to go, ported boxes tend to be alot looser bass. And although a sealed is usually not as loud, you can't beat the punch effect that you can get from one.

If it were me, I would go for the larger sub. The 15's will play lower than the 12's, but thats just my personal taste. Like theboy said, the L7 were meant for ported boxes though. Guess that didn't help much.... haha
