Question

I have 4" Kappa's in my dash and 6.5" Kappa's in my doors. I currently have them all crossed over at 125hz.

What I am now wanting to do, is basically get rid of the 6.5" Kappa's tweeter. I have way too many highs up-front. I don't need 6 tweeters in my car. And since the dash speakers are perfectly placed, and reflect good highs off of my curved windshield, I figure it makes most sense to get rid of the tweeters in my doors.

I don't mean "get rid of" in the literal sense, but more crossover wise. Is it possible to by-crossover the speakers? So that they don't play anything below 125hz and nothing about 1000hz(or so)?

If so, do I need a seperate electronic crossover or can I just use an in-line cap?

THANKS!

if you are on a budget, yes, that would be a cheap solution, and you need a coil, ...not a cap.

just clip the little wire attached to the cap on the terminal. that will kill the tweet and then you'll just have a mid pretty much.
