to increase the ohms that subs are running at...im running at 1ohm at the moment and would like to increase it to 2ohms. Can this be done? thanks.

Yup, double up your subs and run them in series.

Make a BIG Ol' box and there will be an impediance rise! But ya, either double the subs or get a recone for 2ohm.

oh...so i guess theres no resistor i can jus throw in there to increase it :( how about hookin up a small 4ohm speaker up to the sub wiring? or am i jus talkin jibberish
oh and what would i get if im running two duel 4 ohm subs and 1 single 4 ohm sub? [ April 03, 2005, 12:27 AM: Message edited by: G_50B ] |
2 dual 4ohm would make the amp run at 1ohm
I duno if u wuna mix different impedances. plus i duno how it would work out! |
hmm i was thinking of running the subs at 4ohm and adding another cheap 4ohm speaker into the wiring to bring the load down to 2ohm...anyone know if that would work?
|
WHY ?
what are you trying to do / get out of this? why get a good sub than get a s##ty one and play them get two good subs |
because the amp I have is only 2ohm stable and 4ohm stable. so im trying to figure out how to make this all work :(
|
New Subs...or...New Amp
|
:(
i guess i'll run at 4ohm and loose some power.. |
