Power invertor: How many watts for LCD & PS2??

I've got a 240w continuous / 500w Surge capacity (peak) Power invertor.

Will this be enough to run a 15" LCD and a PS2 in my car?

Offhand I would say no. Its the startup that kills you. The startup draws 6-8 times the running power usually. 240 watt is really small.

Case in point is my laptop. I have a 300 watt inv. in the car, once in a blue moon it will power up my laptop and keep it running, but 9 times out of 10 it wont do it. IF it will start it, it runs without hitch.

I also have a 3000 watt for fridge, TV, and Microwave. Thats wired directly to the batts and runs about anything, size is big though, like an Audison 5 channel amp big.
