power for speakers

Need some advice, currently using my aftermarket deck to power my 5 1/4 and 4x6 speakers in my jeep. Sounds ok. I do have a seperate amp powering a 12 inch woofer. I was considering buying a 4 channel or using another amp to power these small speakers. I have an old punch 45, that I can use. I'm sure it'll be better than the aftermarket deck right?

Use the old punch 45 to power the speakers.

When I had my 95 YJ I had the front and soundbar speakers running off the deck power and a pair of 6x9 in the back as well as a 12 " sub running off a 4 ch amp. Sounded pretty decent...well, as decent as sound can go in a vehicle with no roof.
