Got this from here: http://www.mobileaudio.net/ces98/

PPI is celebrating its 15th anniversary. It is also celebrating its sale to Phaze Audio/Butler. They introduced a limited edition, $10000 amp to celebrate as well in addition to offering all its regular amps and processors with a chromed finish, silk-screen lexan bottom plates and certificates of authenticity. The 2500F1 amp is pretty wild looking. Its huge, being 25" x 16" x 4". It includes a balanced line driver as well as a dash mounted status indicator. You should be able to see it and their other items on their new web site after February 1. www.precisionpower.net It looks like solid brick with a window on the top so you can see how much overkill the amp has on the inside. Cool amp, but way too much dough. On the plus side its supposed to put out over 2000 watts into a 4-ohm mono load.

I have a magazine review on this amp somewhere, if you need the actual tested specs.

It's a 1998 model for the 15th anniversary basically.

2x500rms@4ohm
2x1000rms@2ohm
1x2000@4ohm bridged
0.01% THD
120dB S/N ratio
>96dB seperation
0.15-12V sensitivity
>500 dampiing
7Hz-200kHz response

-All transistors are operated in high bias Class "A" mode
-Remote Status Display (basically a half DIN mount to put at the driver dispaly area with 6 LED's for monitoring any problems)
-True Balanced Input Section (balanced connections with an included balanced line driver)
-Four internal fans
-Power Saver (when no input signal is found it turns down the high current supply rail voltages to reduce energy consumption)
-Direct-Coupled Audio Path (gain stages are direct-coupled for higher signal integrity and extended low-end response)
-Precision Servo Control (four servo amplifiers per channel maintain precise DC operating points without performance limiting coupling capacitors)
-QuadDrive Output Stage (Quadruple-Darlington output stage, output and damping are constant throughout the entire bandwidth)

Amp weighs 60lbs, 570 watts rms per channel at 4 ohms, 1044 watts rms per channel at 2 ohms, 2088 watts at a bridged 4 ohm load. At 2 ohm stereo the amp is pulling about 260 amps current draw. Measured THD + N at full rated output: .0266% @ 4 ohm stereo, .0275% @ 2 ohm stereo. Damping factor of 350. Let me know if you need any more info.

I think he means "fakes" in the sense that they were bought from the PPI selloff, and are missing something that the originals had... can't remember what.

The one's on ebay are from the PPI sell off auction many years ago. They're missing stuff and not 100% fully finished. Also the seller on ebay won't move a single penny on price, nor get anymore pictures to help out with a sale.

I'll email you the person email address asap. I just have to find it. BTW: I have dibs on some 'other' PPI items he has for sale.
