For the price are they decent? I was thinking of picking one up, its just a basic alarm, no 2 way paging... are they reliable?

I have the Predator 3901TW. It's a 2-way with keyless entry and window roll up module added. No problems, great piece of mind (paging 2way) but occasionally the lcd icons are a little screwy after a battery change.

I have been told to avoid the starters as they are a gong show. Constantly losing programming and intermittent reception issues.

Most of them are pretty much the old Avital (pre-DEI) from what I have seen. I concur that the remote starts seem to need to be reprogrammed every year.

I have had good luck with the basic alarms. Any thing starter related or 2 way I would stay clear off.

I was just looking at the basic one, no starter or anything.

thanks.

preditor is evil, i cringe when people come into my store with them. i have a bunch of preditor stock left but no remotes cause all the remotes died, got a huge bag of remotes that dont work that apparentlly the store has been waiting for an rma from automobility so we can get em fixed but they never call back so yea props to preditor and automobility for having a wicked cool crap ass product

^ So the manufacturer had a bad batch of remotes. Your issue is with the distributor who won't service you, not so much the manufacturer.
