Problem with AUX input
hey guys, quick question
the aux input on my deck seems to be significantly quieter than cd or radio. the volume on my ipod is maxed, connections are nice a tight, there is no volume limiter within the deck itself. could it be because i used a rca to mini adapter? i am stumped on this one.. |
What deck?
|
ya cause i found out on my clarion deck that you can up the incoming volume ( until is stopped working lmao)
|
sorry i have a Panasonic cq-c9700u deck
i am not aware of some kind of input volume control with my deck |
check the manual you never know thats where i found that out for mine
|
yeah i just took a good read through the manual.. nothing about a volume control for aux in..
any other ideas? |
not that im aware of sorry

the rca to mini has nothing to do with that, unless the cable itself, or the aux input is defective. Rca to mini, gives an excellent signal if everything is in good order. Are the headphones working properly? If so, then the ipod is fine. Try another cable, or try the ipod and cable to another mini input device to rule out the cable. If it's good with another device, then the problem is with the deck, either the jacks, the circuitry, or it's just a muted input that does not deliver the same amount of gain as the internal sources.

Make sure you are using the aux-in jacks and not the pre-out jacks.

ipod
I would check the specs of your cable coz some uses mono instead of stereo type connector which is half the input signal of what you're deck is getting.
