Putting Amp on Stock Speakers..

i got a 01 gmc sierra was wondering if not useing deck power and buying a amp (probly 80rms x 4 channels) would that make much difference until i was able to change out all speakers? my deck is 52x4 max im guessin

i run my deck on -6 bass (lowest).. and just have my subvolume on +6... but there for my subs arent putting out much.. but dosnt seem like they put out alot at 0 eaither... with -6 i can get 27 volume before cracking noises... but with 0 i get to like 22... dukk you got msn i lookin for like 5mins of someone knowledgeables time before i go get ripped off at local shop tommorrow ( crappy prices ) and receave no sound quality increase or volume increase

Your biggest improvement in sound quality will be when you replace the speakers. Your biggest increase in volume will be from adding an amp - but you will get better sound also because of better speaker control.
As mentioned - whatever amp you buy for the front speakers should have a crossover built into it. Put it on HighPass and if it is adjustable, start in the 150-200hz range. With the bass gone the speakers will handle more power and sound clearer.
