QTC vs ported boxes?

QTC for a sealed box is supposed to refer to how boomy or tight the bass will be, but what is the equivalent rating for determining how boomy a ported box will be?

If I remember correctly, alignment of a vented box is represented by alpha. I have yet to run across a design program that let you adjust, or informed you of, the alpha value used.

The Loudspeaker Design Cookbook covers the topic though.
