Every system I have built I use an Epicenter. I can't say enough good things about them. Leave the **** turned down when you want tight and punchy, or turn it up when you want to go DEEP.

Epi's are an interesting piece if you listen to a wide variety of music. As previously said, if the music you are listening to has a lot of low-end in it already, it won't do anything. But if it doesn't (like old rock for example), it will put a nice fat bottom end in. I had a CD once with a song that had the same bass beat going through it, that the Epi would add in bass sometimes and other times not. It was like it confused it lol

A great song to show what an Epi could do was the way old IASCA SPL song L'Daddy. That song had like NO deep bass to it (which is way weird since it was the SPL song but anyway) but when you turned the Epi on, Hello bigger numbers! Not that I ever did that in competition or anything........heh

The most current iteration of an Epi was the Maxxsonics device. Not really sure if it did the exact same thing as the Epi though.
