I'm listed as a part time driver (although its more like every day) under my parents insurance for a grand prix that only I drive. Winters coming and in my area the grand prix cant hold its own in the snow. I was wondering what the laws are on me driving my parents truck. If I wanted to drive my parents truck and I had there permission can I legally? Or do I need to be insured on the truck too.

I turn 18 next week so im going to start paying my own insurance within the next few months, does that make a difference?

What happens if I get in an accident? Does it go on my insurance?

 

While under your parents insurance if you have an acident they get hit and its on your driving record so when you get insurance then you pay a higher premium then if you didn't have a acident.
