ok on the way home as i was lookin back, i noticed the amp, powering my mids and highs, had a clipping light that went flashed when the sytem was super loud.

So, i've went and readjusted the gains for that so that i can turn it up to my normal max, plus 2steps more on the deck...and the lights stay off the whole time.

Does that mean i'm safe....if the clipping lights aren't coming on at all and i'm not severely overpowering the speakers i've generally got nothing to worry about correct?

(too bad the sub amp didn't have those lights...just that damn protection light lol)
