Hey guys. I am thinking about designing a box that hold 4 12" in a Isobaric type box for my Intrepid. I was wondering if you guys have any pictures or design types I can look at to get an idea of what I am up against. I have installed for about 5 years but never did a 4 driver Iso box. I have seen one in a cavalier right under the rear window deck.
Thanks Guys [ January 29, 2005, 08:20 AM: Message edited by: Smartass ] |
^ So are you looking for design information or a picture of an Intrepid with this style of box in it?
|
No it doesn't have to be in an Intrepid just an idea of how big and how the chambers are setup and stuff like that
thanks |
Depends on the box design you want. Any enclosure can be equipped with an isobaric speaker arrangement.
I suspect you are looking for some sort of bandpass arrangement? Like the bottom two on the right side of this image? https://www.termpro.com/whe/images/tpencl.gif That's a general arrangement. How much volume you need depends on the individual woofers you use. |
Ya just like that. Where can I get a copy of that program thats SICK!!! SWEET!!!
|
Buy Term-pro or Term-Pak dude. Is this program windows compatible yet? The last time I bought it it was not and that sucks sweaty goats balls. Then when the thing died on me, no support from Wayne Harris.

i purchased leap many years ago did an update to it next thing you know it didn't work anymore i phoned them they told me it was my dongle and had nothing to do with the update i said b.s. they told me they could do nothing for me unless i wanted to spend another $700-800 for leap leap 5 so i spammed there message board and here and car sound next thing you know my phone rings its him and he had a new dongle and floppy for $50 american plus shipping i had no problem with that and had him ship it |
Sorry for the threadjack smartass, I had a big long rant typed in but it is best left off of the board and your topic. Go with door#12 if your rear deck can accommodate the 3 ports.

^ Ouch man. You're directing him to a vented bandpass on his first shot at it?
Man, he better get in touch with a box wizard.. Oh wait - he already PM'd me :D |
If he wants to jump in the fire, let him jump with both feet and see if he gets burned or not. Personally I would not touch it but if done properly it will yield some nasty a$$ bass response.
