Question :) lol
Hey,
i have an Kaption SPL 1200 sub, Dual Voice Coil.... how do i tell if it's 2 OHm, or 4 Ohm? |
Get yourself a multimeter and set it to the ohms setting, make sure your black lead is in the Com plug and the red lead is in the Volt/Ohm plug. Attach the leads to each of the voice coils to get there readings. you will have to measure each set to get both however I'm sure its safe to say that both voice coils should be the same unless blown.

k thanks!, my IDQ have it wrote right on the basket, but Kaption fails to do that, makes things so much easier if it was :P
|
yeah a lot of companies put them right on there subs. I'm assuming they didn't because they make those subs both dual 2 and 4 ohms. so instead of the company taking time and money to print a simple tag they just left it out, lazy people lol :p.
