Quick Amplifier question
Since i got a 200amp alternator on the way.. I'm thinking of getting another amp for the 2nd sub and a speaker amp... HOWEVER im running into a problem.
The MRD-M1005 is 80amps... and the speaker amp im looking into the PDX.4.150 is 60amps... so thats 220amps all together... Now am i just completly thinking from another cloud? or will my alternator handle 2 mrd-m1005's and a pds-4.150 + my headunit with 2.5" screen + 7" dvd screen + all the other lights with the 200amp alternator and if i do the big 3? |
Should be fine... they won't draw close to that continuously listening to real music. Test tones are another story.

the consistant draw of your amps on your altinating system is rarely near the total combined amount of fusing on your amp (s)...its usually a lil more then half from my experience

yeah u shud be fine once u have a good battery ur good.... nd also ur alternator is putting out alot of ampreage, so their shuldnt be n e voltage drop, unless ur bass amp is doing some serious wrk....

I was just saying with a good battery and a upgraded alternator like he have right now, will do the job for sure. I was kind of in the same situation, I bought 2optima (yellow and red) and i did not upgrade my alternator, so I had to wait awhile for my electrical system to charge so I can play music. Doing this can also lead to alternator failure. (with out upgrading)
